“Here I am love. My apologies for being late.” @zimystry
It’s been years since I was active here. In that time, Jassper has went through an incredible amount of changes. His current iteration sees him as twins, Jassper and Felan. I can’t say how active I will be, but this account will be used for my ffxiv oc’s and random stuff. Have an updated picture of the boys.
I love how he gave this bit at an autism benefit because it is also a heavy Autism Mood™
This is the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen.
TRANSCRIPT:
JOHN MULANEY: I normally don’t notice people. I zone out constantly. Have you ever zoned out for a few minutes? I’ve been zoned out since 2014.
AUDEINCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: I just - all day long, I wander into traffic walking like Charlie Chaplin, listening to a podcast while thinking about a different podcast.
AUDIENCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: I can zone out anywhere - I was at the doctor’s office, he was reading me the results of a blood test, it was important I listened, and I zoned out! I was like, “nah, I’m gonna stare at the wall and think my thoughts”.
AUDIENCE MEMBER WHOOPS
MULANEY: I was like, “huh. None of the Beatles had moustaches… but then one day, all of them had moustaches.”
AUDIENCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: “That’s weird, I can’t think of a time a group has done that”. Some people in my life don’t want me to zone out as much - they want me to focus, and they want me to be in the moment, and they want me to do this by meditating. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried meditating, but I’ve been trying it. This is how you meditate, okay? You sit on the floor with your back perfectly straight, which I hate more than ISIS -
AUDIENCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: I don’t like sitting up straight! Alright?! It’s never gonna happen! If meditating was sitting hunched over on the toilet with your elbow on your knee while kind of looking at your phone, I’d be the Dalai Lama.
AUDIENCE LAUGHS/APPLAUDS
MULANEY: I don’t like sitting up straight. So you sit up straight, and you breathe, and this helps you stay in the moment. Don’t bother! The moment is mediocre at best!
AUDIENCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: I mean, it’s fine. Let’s all try right now - let’s all be in the moment, in silence, right now. [A HALF-SECOND PAUSE] Sucked, right? Not fun at all!
AUDIENCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: That was boring! You gotta zone out! You have an imagination! You have a movie theatre in your brain that plays fake arguments that you win.
AUDIENCE LAUGHS/APPLAUDS
MULANEY: Have you ever just been sitting there thinking about something for twenty, twenty-five minutes, and all of a sudden you’re like “oh my god, I’m driving!” and you remember? You’re like -
AUDIENCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: “I’m going seventy-five miles an hour! I have been for a while! I could’ve changed so many lives!” Sometimes, my wife - I have this wife - she’ll be like, “are you watching the road?” and I’m always like, “I am looking through the windshield.”
AUDIENCE LAUGHS
MULANEY: “And I’m not gonna hit anyone, but no. I’m thinking about the Beatles.”
Hey @vulpeculavolans added a transcript to this AND THAT IS SO AWESOME THANK YOU SO MUCH!

“listening to a podcast while thinking about a different podcast”
also I was instructed by my therapist to meditate this week and one problem I brought up was the sitting thing, and I still have not done it
A massive snowstorm hit my town today and it got me thinking, there’s this terrifying polar vortex on its way to the midwest and some people might not know what to do. This isn’t going to be like a normal snowstorm, and odds are if you’re under 25 years old then you’ve never experienced weather quite like this.
So, here are some important tips that you’ll need to know.
- Do NOT leave your house unless you absolutely have to. Seriously, it’s going to be colder than Antarctica outside and I’m not exaggerating. Windchills could hit somewhere around -55º.
- If you leave, PROTECT YOUR SKIN. Frostbite can set in within 5 minutes to any exposed skin. Wear goggles or ski masks, whatever you have to wear to make sure that little to no skin is exposed. You do not want to become hypothermic.
- Again, if you leave, LAYER YOUR CLOTHING. Doing this will trap the heat between you and your clothes. The heavier the layers, the better. Wear 3-4 layers of clothes if you’re outside.
- Try NOT to take deep breaths if you’re outside. This will minimize the cold exposure to your lungs. Also, wear a scarf over your mouth and nose. This will help heat up the air you’re breathing before it hits your lungs.
- LET YOUR FAUCETS DRIP warm water. This is gonna keep your pipes from freezing and bursting. Yes, your water bill might be a couple bucks higher because of it but that’s a lot cheaper than having to replace all of the pipes in your home.
- STOCK UP ON NECESSITIES. Water bottles, batteries, candles, and nonperishable foods are your best bet. Treat this with the severity as you would with a hurricane, be prepared.
- GET BLANKETS. Odds are, you may lose power from the wind. If your heater goes out, you’re gonna need to stay warm. Seriously, find whatever blankets you have and keep them out just in case.
- KEEP YOUR TECH GADGETS CHARGED. Even if your phone or laptop is done charging, keep it plugged in for as long as you can or try to keep the battery life as long as you can. Power could go out at any second, stay prepped.
- If you see a homeless person, DIRECT THEM TO THE CLOSEST CODE BLUE SHELTER. Like I said earlier, it only takes minutes for frostbite and hypothermia to set in. Hospitals and schools are most likely to be set up as warming shelters for people who don’t have homes or if their heaters have gone out. If you’re willing to be a good Samaritan, go with them to make sure they get there safely.
Stay safe, stay warm, stay alive.

With the Light of day pouring through the lace between the curtains of the Hotel suite he’d shared with a curiously charming polyamorous couple the night before, he notes with some amusement their emphasis on amorousness. A condition he, himself is all-too-familiar with.
Despite several offers to ‘avail’ himself of their company, he’d instead elected to sleep in the unused mattress nearby. If asked, he coulsn’t have articulated the why of it. Only that, in the moment, it had made sense.
As a pair of strong hands approach him from behind, a wry smile moves over the Priest’s lips. He poses no initial objection as Jassper’s hands pull at his shirt, slipping free one of the two fastened buttons as his pin-point tusks scrape sensuously over his neck and shoulder. “Come to our bed?” He asks, and the Half-elf’s voice is thick with sensuous intentions sufficient to tempt on several occasions. Tempting. The Priest thinks to himself as his hands fold over the top of the Sneak.
“Another time, perhaps.” He murmurs, turning about to face Jassper and his mate with a tantalizing smile. “I sense my Fiancè and Husband await, and no greater temptation exists for me in the moment than the company they have to offer. Forgive me?”
(perfectly forgiven!! Understand completely. 😀 hope you have been good!)

The smell of brimstone and blood. The gasp of breath against his skin, the way fabric and flesh gave way so easily beneath the point of a sword. The weight of his body against his, the last whispered words of a man freed from hellish bonds before the power within him destroyed his earthly remains.
I fought him as long as I could.
It would have been easier if he hadn’t bled. Only by a fraction, but it would have…it would have…
Khadgar stared at his hands as he dropped the blade, the last fragments of magic and power having left the tower in a rush. He could feel his body tremble, weakened and exhausted, the aged digits stained in blood. Untrained hands holding a blade, determined to end this at all costs – he did not regret what he had to do, but…
Blood. His blood.
He felt numb. Distantly, he could feel the presence of Anduin Lothar nearing him – speaking to him? He must have replied but he couldn’t recall what it was that he had said. He was staring at the floor – at his feet, stone scorched from felfire, all that remained of a great, tragic man. A scrap of fabric, a skull, a bit of bone…so little. So very little.
Quietly, Khadgar went to his knees, the joints stiff and aching with each movement. The sapping had nearly killed him, withered him to almost nothing – but still he summoned the strength for this. He reached out, fingertips brushing the worn remains of black and red silk – the fraying edge of fine embroidery burned at the edge. He felt a lump welling up in his throat – he forced it down. Not here – not here. He closed his eyes, jaw set, hands shaking.
I wanted to save you. To the bitter end, I had hoped…I had wanted…I never wanted to…
He didn’t recall gathering his remains. He didn’t recall gathering Moroes and Cook, nor did he remember digging their graves. He recalled so little of those hours, until he found himself standing before three plots, dirty and even more exhausted, silvery hair whipping about in the lonely wind. The world seemed to have lost its color, the Pass suddenly devoid of all life and spirit. Khadgar took a breath then – the first in what felt like ages. His jaw set, he closed his eyes bitterly. He felt…hollow. Exhausted of life and vitality, a shell of himself. When he had first arrived here, he had never imagined that it would end like this…
“…You must have been planning this for ages,” he said quietly. “…I was the one who succeeded, I was the one who…discovered everything you had set out…the way to defeat Him. To end your…suffering. You knew, from the moment in the forest, that I would be the one. And yet you still…you still-!” He trembled, gritting his teeth. “You still…invited the notion that there might be a future – that this wouldn’t – I never asked for this!”
His voice echoed in the granite cliffs that nestled the tower in their stony embrace. In the distance, he heard a single raven’s call – as if beckoning to him from elsewhere. He sucked in a sharp breath, his chest and throat aching.
“I want to hate you…damn it, Medivh, it would make this so much easier if I could – you used me to end his hold on you – you used me. You were so inviting, you groomed me for this task! I practically poured my heart out to you, and you already knew what I was going to have to do - How much of what you said could I tru-“
The words died on his lips.
Trust.
Khadgar closed his eyes, his shoulders sank. Tension left him, and he let out a soft breath.
I don’t know what trust even means any longer.
Once more, he looked at his hands – stained with dirt, with the blood of the man he called friend, mentor – whom he loved. For a moment, he felt that presence again, near the tower – he took a breath and looked up, over the wall of the bailey – and stared.
A vision? It couldn’t be…but the tower was a strange place. He stared the ghostly image down.
“…I can see you now, you know.”
